Milwaukee

This poem was a gift, in loving memory of Enola M. Borgh.

Milwaukee

On the river,
Mother,
telling cousins
we are still close

I see the Calatrava
from the water
wingspan open
as your heart

And I am glad
you are Home .  . .

I was looking at The Milwaukee Art Museum from the water, and the magnificent Calatrava addition.  Here’s the museum’s website:  http://mam.org.

“Milwaukee” was published first in 2006, by WestWard Quarterly, a print journal from Illinois.  Shirley Anne Leonard is the Editor, and Richard Leonard is the Publisher.  http://wwquarterly.com
