January to February . . .

Haiku Art Site

January thaw . . .
letting go
of old heartaches

pink clouds
span the horizon
seagulls take flight
stretching to read
new books

mid-February light
on the evergreens
easy to imagine
their new growth
in spring

reading a new book
the fragrance
of fresh paper
