These are haiku for my mother, Enola M. Borgh (1917 – 2004).  She would be so happy to know I am using my teaching gifts again at The Haiku Foundation.  She also volunteered after she retired; she taught English as a second language and worked at a nursing home.

in evergreen trees
the friendship we grew

Mother’s Day
sorrow has become
stars

forget-me-nots
bloom everywhere
love endures

“gentle spring winds” was published in Time Of Singing (Spring 2012).

old wild roses
bloom again in June

fragrance of fresh paper

new year
on the horizon
simple lines
of barns and trees
in the fog

Poems From Psalms And Nature

November Wisconsin countryside
Bare trees elegant against the sky
Colors in the landscape muted now
October’s glory is gone
And love grows eternally
